Breadboard Comic

I’ve been working on a comic that explains how to use a breadboard and create a number of different projects with Maker Media for a while. Here are the first 2 pages– they explain the basics of setting up a board. Gareth Branwyn initiated the project as a workshop at World Maker Faire in 2012, Sean Ragan edited and wrote the text for the circuit examples.

This Is How My Little Dog Sees Me

Have been looking through some old projects, some of which used Flash. Here’s another one, from 2010, just added a little sound.

Clinton Street Portrait

As part of my thesis from ITP, I made a site that was a portrait of the three block section of Clinton Street where I live. I designed and built it in 2002 (tables for layout, font tags- looking at the code I thanked god for CSS!) I just re-uploaded it, with some very minor changes (forgive the bad code and pop-ups everyone, 2002, remember). Check it out clintonstreet.org. Having some hiccups with the videos in Firefox, for now Chrome seems to be best viewing option.

MoCCA

The annual MoCCA fest was last weekend, and it was a lot of fun. Here are some pictures on PW Comics World, many taken by me, many by Calvin. Many more pictures on flickr, probably more than anyone needs to see.

Arduino Day

I made a presentation on using comics to teach technology at Arduino Day at ITP. It was fun, despite the horrible cold I had. Make streamed it live, the whole event is on youTube. Here’s a pdf of my presentation.
